Rising Up to The Challenges of Disruption of Events by Offering Options through A Trial Account
September 2nd, 2021
The new landscape has made us embrace the options that we have at hand by embracing the evolution of technology and using it to our advantage, so that we can present event organisers and attendees with flexibility and choice.
Since Kenya is still in the hurdles of fighting off the Covid-19 pandemic, planning and managing events continues to be a challenge. Given the restrictions on events convergence, various events have been cancelled all over the country owing to health concerns of the participants. Nothing is as frustrating as planning an event then waking up to the news of cancellations or postponements of events. This has become the new normal.
In this unusual scenario, the EMS is ready to reconsider our clients’ options and to balance two priorities: on one hand, it is crucial to uphold the health and safety of staff, sponsors, and attendees; and on the other, it is necessary to meet financial obligations or at the very least to minimise the losses caused by this disruption. This is why we have opened our doors and are offering our clients trial accounts on the EMS where they can plan and manage their upcoming events for free.
The new landscape has made us embrace the options that we have at hand by embracing the evolution of technology and using it to our advantage, so that we can present event organisers and attendees with flexibility and choice. Switching from running physical events to virtual events is not easy, it takes time to bring everyone on board. However, the EMS is well equipped to handle management of both physical and virtual events.
Attendees aren’t the only ones seeking flexibility and choice. As events planners and managers we have modified our operations to accommodate new clients and we are now working within a new set of constructs. Not every attendee, speaker, or sponsor will be willing to travel. Not every venue will be willing to operate at full capacity. Not every business will fund event activity during the pandemic.
Fortunately, we have an efficient system in place that allows you to consider a vast array of possibilities when building your upcoming event plan. Gone are traditional boundaries, such as size and location; by opening up a trial account on the EMS, you get to set-up up an event, plan and manage it which means you get to attract a wider audience, engage a broader panel of speakers and sponsors, present a deeper content agenda, and even schedule particular activities to take place over a longer timeline.
Technology plays a huge role in the future of events and will continue to be an important asset. The EMS will embrace a mix of live and virtual events. At the end of the day our mission will be to attract sponsors who would not have otherwise been drawn to a live event, and if needed, they can be easily modified and turned into virtual events.
